TCUSAPAC Connects with Congressman Aaron Bean at NRCC Event in Park City

Congressman Aaron Bean (R–FL-04)

Park City, Utah — June 13, 2026 — Hulya Erol-Garvett, representing TCUSAPAC, had the opportunity to speak briefly with Congressman Aaron Bean (R–FL-04) during an NRCC event in Park City, Utah.

The exchange offered an opportunity to introduce TCUSAPAC’s perspective and reinforce the importance of sustained, respectful engagement between community organizations and elected officials. Moments like these may be brief, but they are part of the long-term relationship-building that allows communities to share their experiences, priorities, and contributions with public leaders.

Congressman Bean represents Florida’s Fourth Congressional District, serving communities in northeast Florida. He is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Budget Committee.

The Ways and Means Committee plays a central role in federal tax policy, trade, and important healthcare and economic issues. The Budget Committee addresses federal spending, fiscal policy, and the broader federal budget process. Congressman Bean’s publicly stated priorities have included economic growth, tax policy, fiscal responsibility, reducing federal debt and regulation, border security, veterans’ services, healthcare affordability, and national security.

For TCUSAPAC, engaging elected officials is not about a single event, a single meeting, or a single issue. It is about ensuring that our community is informed, present, and prepared to participate constructively in civic life.

Turkish Americans contribute every day as entrepreneurs, professionals, educators, students, parents, public servants, and community leaders. Our experiences matter in discussions about local economic opportunity, small businesses, education, healthcare, public safety, national security, and the future of U.S.–Türkiye relations.

TCUSAPAC believes that a well-informed and civically engaged community is a stronger community. We encourage community members to learn which congressional district they live in, become familiar with the elected officials who represent them, and follow the public issues that affect their families and neighborhoods. Civic involvement can take many forms:

-Learn who represents you at the federal, state, and local levels.
-Attend open town halls, public meetings, and community forums.
-Contact congressional offices to share your experiences and concerns respectfully.
-Invite public officials to community events and educational programs.
-Stay informed about legislation and public-policy discussions.
-Encourage young people and new voters to participate in civic life.

Engagement is most effective when it is consistent, respectful, and grounded in real community experiences. By building relationships across districts, regions, and perspectives, Turkish Americans can help ensure that our community is recognized as an active and constructive part of America’s civic fabric.

The meeting with Congressman Bean is one example of TCUSAPAC’s continuing commitment to public engagement, civic education, and constructive dialogue. We look forward to continuing conversations with elected leaders and community partners throughout the country.
