TC-USA PAC Engages Congressman David Rouzer on NATO, Regional Security and U.S.–Türkiye Relations
PARK CITY, Utah — Hulya Erol-Garvett, representing TC-USA PAC and the Turkish-American community, met briefly with U.S. Representative David Rouzer during a National Republican Congressional Committee event in Park City. Their conversation focused on NATO, regional security and the importance of sustained engagement between the United States and Türkiye.
Congressman Rouzer represents North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District. He serves on the House committees overseeing agriculture, transportation and infrastructure, and science, space and technology. His legislative work encompasses economic growth, infrastructure, national security, energy policy, and support for members of the military and veterans.
The discussion came amid continuing wars and instability affecting the international community. Erol-Garvett emphasized the importance of NATO and strong cooperation among allied nations in addressing shared security challenges.
Türkiye has been a member of NATO since 1952 and maintains one of the alliance’s largest armed forces. Its location at the crossroads of Europe, the Black Sea, the Caucasus and the Middle East gives the country a critical role in regional and transatlantic security.
Although the United States and Türkiye have faced policy disagreements and periods of tension, TC-USA PAC believes continued communication is essential to advancing shared interests, strengthening regional stability and preserving the longstanding relationship between the two NATO allies.
“Meaningful relationships are built through consistent engagement—not only when challenges arise,” Erol-Garvett said. “Turkish Americans have an important role to play in promoting dialogue, providing accurate information and ensuring that our community’s perspectives are heard in Washington.”
